Family-Level Risk and Protective Factors Associated with LGBTQIA2S+ Youth Mental Health and Well-Being
Meta-Analysis
This project will review all existing literature on family-level risk and protective factors influencing mental health outcomes for LGBTQIA2S+ youth.
To better understand the impact of caregiver–child relationships on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Two-Spirit (LGBTQIA2S+) youth, a meta-analysis is being conducted to review all existing literature on the family-level risk and protective factors associated with LGBTQIA2S+ youth mental health. By emphasizing both risk and protective factors, this project hopes to encourage healthier family relationships and programs for the LGBTQIA2S+ community and, consequently, enhance mental health outcomes.
